Intel Technology India (P) Limited (2019 - 2022 ) Project/Program Manager – Windows 5G laptop connectivity – Intel Core Gen 10/11/12
Integrated 3rd party 5G chipset to Intel laptops using Windows Device drivers. Managed the development and integration of the same. Used strong technical expertise to lead a joint planning session between Mediatek and Intel and 3rd party HW vendor in Taipei, even though the teams were new and meeting for the first time. Negotiated and defined Statement of Work and deliverables from Mediatek, 3rd party HW vendor, together with architects and the business/legal team o This was extremely key as the scoping and plan at the beginning were important to Mediatek, 3rd party HW vendor to execute their deliverables on time • Planned/tracked and integrated SW deliverables from all 3 parties by driving joint weekly tracking calls; this helped to contain risks from internal teams and MTK, an additional 3rd party HW supplier o Drove the team to use n-1 silicon to develop/validate 50% of the solution before the final silicon from Mediatek. Proactively focused on key technical deliverables and dependencies between the organizations on the critical path o Established a good risk-management plan, which helped to execute the entire program within 18 months though the team was medium size (~75 people) • By working with the customer support team, engaged customers early, and successfully ramped up the solution to 48 5G design wins and counting despite several technical challenges; continued working on adding 5G mmW as a follow-on to the 5G Sub-6 solution • Performed the role of program manager before the sale of Intel Mobile division to Apple. Was working in the mobile division on integrating XMM7560 4G chipset in an M.2 form factor to the Microsoft Surface Tablet/Intel laptops at that time –> was then invited to join Intel CCG (client division) to lead the team further on 4G/5G programs

SW Project Manager (Mobile Chipset Drivers/Tools) – iPhone X (XMM7560 4G Chipset) • Effectively used pre-silicon tools/emulators to ensure drivers and SW were ready before the actual Silicon; helped to create a demo of working drivers using pre-silicon chip emulation that won the confidence of Apple managers/decision makers; use of race charts to track actual validation progress on pre-silicon was highly appreciated. • Worked with Agile coaches to bring in a focus for iterative, medium-duration deliveries, thus helping the team transition from waterfall to an Agile-like process (Blue-Dot) during the pre-silicon development itself which led to high-quality delivery and lower bug count; played the role of mediator between pre-silicon teams and internal development teams as pre-silicon tools were also maturing • Involved in planning/monitoring and delivery of chipset drivers, as well as weekly status reporting and presentation to Apple managers; delivered SW as per quality criteria at all milestones which eventually led to the mass production of over 100 M phones • While bringing up the SW on multiple versions of the silicon, led the task force consisting of multinational engineers twice onsite in Germany in a high-pressure environment
